    Why Not Volunteer?

Volunteering at NCIL is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends and contribute your talents and energy to your community! We need your skills and enthusiasm! Volunteers play many vital roles at NCIL – serving on our Board of Directors, staffing Reception and assisting consumers in the Resource Centre, assisting with administrative tasks, facilitating workshops and helping out at events. Please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator Anne Marie Covello-Baxter by phone 905-684-7111, ext. 231 or by e-mail annemarie@abilityforlife.ca to find out how you can get involved.  CURRENTLY … NCIL is looking for engaged, forward thinking members of the community to serve on our Board of Directors.

While a background in finance, policy or administration is an asset we are looking for Directors who wholeheartedly support the vision, mission and values of the organization and the Independent Living movement.  The role of the Board of Directors is to set direction for the organization through governance and strategic planning. As a consumer run organization, applications from persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged. To apply, contact Maureen O’Neill, Executive Director by phone at 905-684-7111, ext. 223 or e-mail: maureen@abilityforlife.ca.
